Brighter Strides ABA is a leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented ABA Medical Biller to support our growing team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes, helping us continue to deliver exceptional care to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain required authorizations for services
- Submit accurate electronic claims to insurance companies
- Review, track, and follow up on outstanding or denied claims
- Manage the appeals process for denied claims and ensure timely resolution
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate coding and billing practices
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance guidelines and industry regulations
- Communicate with clients and insurers regarding billing questions and payment status
- Assist with financial reports and billing-related data as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant confidentiality standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field (required)
- Experience in medical billing (ABA or healthcare-related strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of insurance billing procedures and reimbursement processes
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using billing software and electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
- Certification in medical billing is a plus
