We have an immediate opening for a full time candidate in or around projects in area of Colorado Springs and Colorado Front Range. The qualified candidate will provide Qualified Stormwater Manager (QSM) SWMP/SWPPP Practitioner services to several active construction projects. It includes driving to job sites and inspecting construction project(s) and facilities for compliance with Storm water regulations. The Storm Water Inspector is mainly responsible for ensuring site compliance with the project’s Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) or Stormwater Management Plans (SWMP). This is a field and office position requiring frequent driving to project sites (reimbursement for mileage is provided) and the work hours to be spent both in the field at project sites and in the office for inspection reporting and coordinating work to be completed on sites to maintain compliance.
Stormwater inspectors should be able to communicate effectively with clients and regulators and provide the necessary data and information in a timely manner
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by coordinating various administrative tasks and facilitating communication among team members. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a solid understanding of project management and stormwater methodologies.
Project Account Manager & Inspection Duties
- Assist in the planning and execution of projects by maintaining project documentation and schedules.
- Facilitate communication between project superintendents, project managers and regulatory agencies ensuring that all parties are informed of project progress and updates.
- Utilize tools such as Excel and SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
- Stormwater inspections on project sites to maintain site compliance with Clean Water Act requirements by gathering, analyzing, and documenting project requirements.
- Creating work orders and site maps and coordinating sub-contractors for installation and maintenance of stormwater controls.
- Employ BPM (Business Process Modeling) techniques to streamline workflows and enhance project efficiency.
- Address conflicts that may arise during the project lifecycle through effective conflict management strategies.
- Contribute to technical writing efforts, producing clear and concise documentation for various project phases to ensure all projects stay in compliance with all MS4 stakeholders.
- Apply knowledge of the project to assist in structured project planning and execution.
Qualifications

- Strong math skills for accurate calculation. (Required)
- Proficient in using Excel, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, and other relevant software tools. (Required)
- Ability to read constructions drawings/plans and understand basic civil design principles. At a minimum must have ability to read maps and use map scales and notes.
- Proven experience in project administration or related role, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies. (Preferred but not required)
- Familiarity with regulatory environmental and planning program management principles is preferred.
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce high-quality documentation.
- Excellent conflict management skills with a focus on resolution and collaboration.
- Ability to model business processes effectively to improve operational efficiency.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have or obtain Stormwater required certifications both Federal and local to perform inspections: to include GEC (Grading Erosion Control) certification.
- Previous experience and knowledge in environmental consulting, federal construction, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of construction industry practices and familiarity with environmental and stormwater regulatory compliance quality industry standards are a benefit, but training is available for the right candidate.
