JN Group Inc. is now hiring for an Accounts Payable Clerk position.

The Account Payable Clerk compiles and maintains accounts payable records, reconciles statements and issues payments to vendors. We would like to welcome an individual that has previous accounting-related experience and a passion and interested to grow in this field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and accounts payable files.
- Reconciles or notes and report discrepancies found in records.
- Processes payments (electronic, check and credit card) for all vendors.
- Prepares and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks.
- Distributes signed checks as required.
- Assists with monthly closings.
- Prepares analysis of accounts.
- Prepares garnishment checks reports from payroll.
- Analyzes vendor accounts.
- Researches and resolves accounts payable issues with vendors.
- Provides title clerk with information on all purchased vehicles for title list.
- Answer all vendor inquiries.
- Other duties assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent.
- One year of accounting-related experience preferred.
- One year experience in customer service as a preference.
- A combination of work experience and related accredited trade, college, vocational training schools a plus.
- The position requires office skills including personal computer, Microsoft products (Word for Windows, Excel, Outlook), 10-key and the ability to operate other office equipment.
REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
· Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
EQUIPMENT, MACHINES, TOOLS, VEHICLES USED
· Ability to use a computer workstation including keyboard, mouse, and printer, fax, and internal phone systems.
· Operate 10-key calculators.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Work is performed in a dealership office setting. This position is not a remote position.
