Sante Health System is looking to hire a full-time Accounts Receivable / Insurance Follow-Up / Patient Collections position is responsible for insurance and patient balance follow-up, aging reports and customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED certificate required.
- Necessary 3 years medical billing experience,
- Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, and HCPC coding.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Required knowledge of Medicare, PPO, HMO, Workers' Compensation and Private Pay billing.
- OB/GYN experience.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of ICP-9, CPT and HCPC coding.
- Working knowledge of billing regulations for PPO, HMO, Workers' Compensation and Medicare.
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality regulations.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and analyze account aging.
- Responsible for updating account information, patient address, insurance billing information.
- Assisting sites and patients with questions and concerns.
- Telephone contact with insurance companies to expedite payment of claims.
- Tracers and re-bills to insurance companies as necessary.
- Telephone calls to patients, set-up payment schedules.
- Determine if patient due accounts should be assigned to MBA or Collection agencies.
- Notify sites of delinquent accounts.
- Maintain patient and insurance aging at an acceptable percentage.
- Notification to management of any concerns on unusual payments or claim processing from insurance companies.
- Compiles daily individual productivity.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
