We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented ACI Field Grade I Certified Technician to join our growing Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team. The ideal candidate will perform field and laboratory tests on construction materials including concrete, soil, and aggregates, to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field testing of freshly mixed concrete including slump, air content, unit weight, and temperature
- Cast and transport concrete test cylinders
- Perform soil and aggregate sampling and field density tests (nuclear gauge or sand cone)
- Accurately document test results and site observations
- Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other field personnel
- Ensure safety protocols and QA/QC procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain and calibrate field and lab testing equipment as needed
Qualifications:
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor conditions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor
- [Optional: TxDOT, NICET, or other related certifications are a plus]
