Responsible for assisting clients to participate in the activities of the Older Adult Daily Living Center. Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum of one year’s experience working directly with disabled persons. Special Training/Skills: Knowledge of therapeutic recreation activities, knowledge of issues that are age specific to an older MH/IDD population, the ability to carry out directives given by the Director and Activities Coordinator of the Center, and the ability to communicate with the clients in the Center as well as the entire Center team.

*Provision of personal care and assistance to clients such as toileting and feeding
- Working with other staff members as required in implementing and carrying out services and activities and meeting the needs of individual clients.
- Assisting with transportation or escorting clients to, from, and within the center
- Assist clients in performing scheduled daily activities to the best of their ability
- Actively participate with the clients in the planned activities
- Participate in the short and long term plans for the Center
- Observe all organizational policies and procedures.
- Undertake special assignments and projects.
- Report any necessary client information to the Activities Coordinator or the Director for inclusion in the client reports.
- Coordinate with the Director in complying with all in-house and State regulations.
