Position Summary & Responsibilities
This Position provides administrative support for federal and state-required general supervision responsibilities under the direct supervision of the Special Education and Title Services (SETS) leadership team, including providing technical assistance to local education agencies (LEA) in the area of Uniform Grant Guidance and integrated accountability for individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and the Kansas statutes and regulations for exceptional students. Other key responsibilities include supporting the work of all SETS attorneys, including coordinating all special education dispute resolution, as well as managing strategic, cross-program budgeting and ensuring State Education Agency (SEA) Compliance with changing federal requirements.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Preferred Skills and/or Qualifications
- High level of grammar knowledge;
- Ability to type/process correspondence accurately, maintain office records and to perform other routine secretarial duties;
- Effective problem-solving skills; and
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting.
Preferred Experience
Experience in Microsoft Office and other software applications such as word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
