Job Description Overview
MƒA seeks an Admissions and Recruitment (A&R) Program Officer (PO) to play a key role in all aspects of the fellowship application cycles; ultimately ensuring the A&R Team is organized and effective. A strong candidate will be versatile and able to assist in the coordination of various projects such as managing databases, event planning, the application launch and review process, applicant interviews as well as a variety of other projects across the organization. The A&R Program Officer needs to have excellent written communication skills, be comfortable with a variety of technology platforms, and have a willingness to learn and grow. This position is a key support within a team of three, led by the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment and Insights.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Work with the A&R Team to execute a year-long admissions and recruitment cycle.
- Assist in the coordination and planning of all Admissions & Recruitment events
- Assist in the creation of materials for events and awards
- Communicate with other MƒA departments about Admissions & Recruitment events
- Assist in the development of processes for reviewing application materials
- Be a point of contact for inquiries about MƒA’s fellowships via email and by phone
- Receive training in order to learn Salesforce and then manage the day-to-day data entry and information regarding applicants.
- Support A&R Team in creating and sending professional and branded emails using Marketing Cloud.
- Co-manage technical aspects of the fellowship application process, including the Application Portal (Salesforce Experience Cloud) and data collection.
- Ability to work 1-2 evenings a week, when needed.
- Ability to work on the weekends in June (our screening period)
Within one month you will:
- Learn about the goals and overall responsibilities of the A&R department
- Learn about each MƒA department and identify points of collaboration across the organization
- Gain a working knowledge of Salesforce
- Help organize and review materials from the 2024-25 admissions cycle
- Support in the preparation of upcoming recruitment events
Within three months you will:
- Work with A&R Team to develop and organize and disseminate materials for the 2025-26 recruitment season
- Work with A&R team members to develop 2025-26 MƒA application materials
- Run Salesforce reports to inform recruitment and admissions strategy
- Create and organize materials for candidate review processes
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will assume this role with desires to learn and work collaboratively on a team. The position does not necessitate a candidate who has prior experiences with admissions, recruitment, or Salesforce administration (though, it is a plus), which makes it a valuable role for anyone looking to enter the educational nonprofit space.
