A Day in the Life:
The Adoption Supervisor will be responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of the Adoptions team, ensuring positive team morale and high performance. The will work alongside the team championing our Strategic Plan initiatives and goals, while setting an example of Excellent Experience Every time for both customers and internal employees and volunteers. They will help develop and implement policies, procedures, and training that ensures adoptions run smoothly, Adoption team members are provided clear expectations, effectively trained, and held accountable.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma / GED.
- College studies OR degree preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to report to multiple locations.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Two years of supervisory experience is required.
- Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and be able to resolve conflict.
- Experience in an animal welfare environment and fear free animal handling skills preferred.
- Experience and an understanding of sales, retail, and cash-handling operations are required.
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis preferred.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; occasional wet floors, and animal noises, odors, and dander. Most time will be spent in a typical air-conditioned and heated office environment.
