Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree.
Knowledge of barriers to educational success and a desire to help others reach their educational goals.
Ability to coach and/or collaborate with instructors on content and strategies.
Experience working independently and as part of a team.
Strong ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in the use of technology, such as Microsoft Office.
Desire to learn and grow as professional needs arise.
Additional Considerations:
Work experience in a higher education setting or counseling or academic coaching.
Work experience assessing the skills, needs, and interests of adult learners.
Duties:
Assist prospective students from the point of inquiry to class completion.
Support students through their academic and/or workforce-credentialing journey.
Utilize available student resources (food pantry, loaner computers, transportation, etc.).
Collaborate with the development of marketing and informational materials for student recruitment.
Evaluate the effectiveness of ELL programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Plan and deliver professional development for ELL instructors.
Provide guidance and support for ELL instruction.
Actively participate with community outreach events.
Contribute to the success of the Office of Transitional Programs team.
Salary:
$22.20 per hour
