Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lineperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in utility work, particularly in fiber installation, coax and copper. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment. The Lineperson will be responsible for ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of lines and related infrastructure.
Duties
- Perform fiber installation and utility locating tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Climb poles as necessary to install or repair lines.
- Operate power tools safely and effectively during various job functions.
- Utilize a voltmeter to test electrical systems and ensure proper functionality.
- Operate heavy equipment, including bucket trucks for line installation and maintenance.
- Conduct low voltage work as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fiber installation is preferred.
- Ability to climb poles safely as part of job duties.
- Proficient in the use of power tools and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with voltmeter usage for testing electrical systems.
- Experience operating bucket trucks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
