Position Summary:The After School Enrichment Program Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of high-quality, engaging, and safe enrichment programs for middle school-aged children outside of regular school hours. This role focuses on building a dynamic curriculum, managing staff and instructors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and fostering strong relationships with kids, schools, families, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:Program Development & Implementation
Design and coordinate a diverse range of enrichment activities (e.g., arts, STEM, sports, leadership, literacy).
Develop schedules, lesson plans, and materials in alignment with educational goals.
Evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise instructors, volunteers, and support staff.
Conduct regular staff meetings, provide mentorship, and facilitate professional development.
Ensure all staff adhere to safety and behavioral policies.
Student Engagement & Safety
Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured environment for all students.
Manage student behavior and resolve conflicts as needed.
Maintain student records and attendance logs; ensure all required documentation is up to date.
Family & Community Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians regarding program details and student progress.
Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, and partners to enhance program offerings.
Administration & Compliance
Monitor program budget and resources; track expenses and supplies.
Ensure compliance with licensing, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.
Collect and analyze program data for continuous improvement and grant reporting.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Recreation, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in youth development, after school programs, or education settings
Experience in staff supervision and program coordination
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Knowledge of child safety practices and behavior management techniques
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Skills:Bilingual abilities
Familiarity with grant writing and reporting
Knowledge of curriculum development or enrichment programming (e.g., STEM, arts, SEL)
Experience working in diverse communities
Work Schedule:Typically Monday–Friday, 2:30pm –6:00 PM, with occasional evenings or weekends for special events or meetings. Hours may vary during school breaks or summer sessions. Compensation: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
