Lead Preparatory is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and creative After School Teacher to support scholars in Pre-K through 6th grade during the critical after-school hours. This role is perfect for someone who loves children, thrives in a fun and fast-paced environment, and understands how to be both firm and joyful while guiding young learners.

What You’ll Do
Create and implement weekly lesson plans with age-appropriate academic and enrichment activities.

What You’ll Do
Create and implement weekly lesson plans with age-appropriate academic and enrichment activities.
- Provide homework help and academic support tailored to each scholar’s developmental level.
- Supervise scholars in both structured and unstructured activities (indoors and outdoors).
- Promote positive social interactions, resolve minor conflicts, and model respectful behavior.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers about daily experiences and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other educators and leadership team members.
- Follow all safety and supervision protocols to ensure scholar well-being at all times.
- Experience: At least 1 year working with school-age children in an educational or child care setting.
- Education: High school diploma desired, but not required; Associate’s or higher in Education, Child Development, or related field preferred.
- Skills:
Strong classroom management and leadership abilities
- Effective communicator with children, families, and staff
- Positive, playful, and proactive attitude
- Reliable, organized, and consistent in following routines
- Certifications: CPR/First Aid (or willingness to complete prior to hire)
- Other Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs and actively engage with children during movement-based activities.
