JOB TITLE: AFTERNOON EXTENDED DAY MONITOR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAJOR FUNCTION:
● Responsible for monitoring students after the school day is over.
● Assists with the creating homework support, engaging activities, etc for students during the their extended day time.
● Oversees student movement throughout the building and playground during EDC.
● Work is performed under the general supervision of the principal.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Manages and supervises students during extended day PM hours.
● Communicates with students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills..
● Creates, implements and monitors the check-in/check-out of students in the extended day PM Room.
● Ensures activities, snack and homework assistance is provided during extended day PM time..
● Participates in training sessions, meetings, and scheduled cleaning days as requested.
● Ensures proper billing is provided by student/family to extended day PM usage (reports hours to be billed to school secretary weekly).
MINIMUM/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Ohio Student Monitoring Permit REQUIRED
● Physically able to perform monitoring/supervision duties assigned.
● Effective communication skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Functional skills in reading and writing English.
● Knowledge and ability to plan and implement engaging, age appropriate activities for s.
● CPR/First Aid Safety training
● Mature ability to use judgment and be dependable.
GENERAL WORKING HOURS : 1:30-5:30pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $15.50 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
Work Location: In person
