Synopsis: The AI Automation Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation tools and AI-driven solutions to simplify and streamline administrative tasks across Fieldstone’s internal teams. This role combines software development skills with a strong understanding of process improvement, ensuring that repetitive, manual, or time-consuming activities are optimized through automation.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Tool Development & Automation
- Design, build, and deploy automation scripts, bots, and AI-powered applications to reduce manual administrative workload.
- Integrate automation tools with internal systems (e.g., HRIS, Cortex, Smartsheet, Deltek, etc.) where applicable.
- Maintain and improve existing automation tools, ensuring reliability and scalability.
AI Solutions
- Leverage AI and machine learning frameworks (such as natural language processing and large language models) to create solutions that support document handling, reporting, and communication tasks.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept applications to test and demonstrate new automation opportunities.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with HR, Finance, Operations, and other internal departments to understand workflows and identify automation opportunities.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions that align with team needs.
- Provide training and documentation to ensure employees can effectively use automation tools.
Data & System Integration
- Ensure automation solutions follow data security and compliance requirements.
- Work with IT to connect automation workflows to existing systems and databases.
- Monitor tool usage and collect feedback to improve user experience.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–5+ years of programming experience, with a focus on automation and/or AI development.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or other programming languages used for automation.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI, etc.) and APIs.
- Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Automate, UiPath, Zapier, Smartsheet automation, etc.).
- Strong understanding of API integrations and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
