Position: Freelance Community Interpreter
Location: Dallas, TX (and surrounding cities)
Pay: Starting at $25/hour
- Minimums: 2 hours for in-person assignments, 1 hour for remote assignments
- Mileage reimbursement varies by assignment/client
Requirements:
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Amharic (Or Tigrinya, Afar, Somali)
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must reside in the Dallas, TX area
- Relevant interpreter certifications (a plus)
- Successful background check clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate accurate and seamless communication between parties
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Provide excellent customer service to clients
