The Team: The SPDJI finance team plays a pivotal role in driving financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and collaboration with all business functions. The team values critical thinking, teamwork and an entrepreneurial spirit, utilizing finance expertise along with the latest AI and automation tools to improve processes and boost efficiency. This role will report to the Associate Director of Finance.

The Impact: This position will assist in and contribute to the month-end close and forecast process, corporate deliverables, Quarterly Finance Reviews, cost of sales reporting, and other ad hoc analyses, ensuring all analysis and reports are submitted timely and accurately. In addition, the candidate will partner with Technology and other functions to support decision making and business initiatives.
The ideal candidate must be adept at combining analytic tools and techniques with business partnering expertise to identify and manage key performance drivers. They must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to collaborate with business partners and translate information into actionable insights. The candidate will have the opportunity to present Technology’s financial performance to the SPDJI CTO and members of the CTO leadership team on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to the month-end close and forecast cycles, corporate deliverables, and annual budgeting process.

Serve as the finance business partner to technology, providing analyses and insights to support execution of their growth strategy.

Responsible for all aspects of royalty calculation and reporting, including quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.

Develop proficiency in various expense and headcount management platforms such as Ariba, Concur and Workday, to effectively assist with finance requests from colleagues throughout the division.

Proactively drive process improvements by leveraging AI and automation tools to enhance operational efficiencies and deliver deeper financial insights.

Responsible for managing one financial analyst, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their analytical skills and career growth within the finance department.

Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects and provide direct support to the Associate Finance Director and senior finance leadership on an as-needed basis.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,817 to $126,301.25. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivated, focused, creative, quick learner, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions for operational and financial problems.

Demonstrated investigative research and analytical capabilities necessary to provide the leadership team with the accurate and insightful interpretation of financial information.

Experienced in dashboard design (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and/or designing, building, and testing workflows in Alteryx to support analysis of large and complex data sets.

Ability to juggle multiple tasks and see projects through to successful completion.

4+ years of experience related to financial planning and analysis, public accounting or asset management.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics or related field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leveraging AI tools to support finance operations.

CFA, CPA or MBA

Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Ariba, Power BI, SmartView, Anaplan, Alteryx, and Tableau or other database tools a plus.
