We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching French at various levels, with the ability to engage students in a dynamic learning environment. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging French language curriculum that aligns with educational standards.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods, including technology and hands-on activities.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Mentor students in their academic pursuits and provide support for their individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and classroom management strategies.
- Facilitate public speaking opportunities for students to enhance their communication skills.
- Provide tutoring sessions for students needing additional support in French or related subjects.
- Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that accommodates special education needs and diverse learning styles.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
- Strong background in teaching French, with classroom experience preferred.
- Familiarity with literacy education practices and childhood development principles.
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Knowledge of College Board's AP program is recommended.
- Experience with learning technology to enhance the educational experience is desirable.
- Previous experience in private schools or Montessori settings is beneficial.
