Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. This role is essential in managing the financial transactions of the company, ensuring accuracy in processing invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial concepts and be proficient in using financial software to maintain accurate records.
Duties
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with vendors and clients to resolve discrepancies and negotiate payment terms.
- Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks to track expenses, payments, and account balances.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable and receivable status for management review.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles in all financial activities.
- Assist in month-end closing processes by providing necessary documentation and support.
Experience
- Previous experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits, credits, and journal entries.
- Proficiency in financial software; experience with Quicken is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address discrepancies efficiently.
