An Apprentice Windshield Technician must have the following core competencies:

Job Duties:
· Prepare the vehicle before the repair and after; including preparing any parts and materials, dismantling appropriate vehicle parts in preparation for service, cleaning the vehicle after service, and reassembling any part of the vehicle required.
· Clean shop premises and keep a safe and clean work environment.
· As required, deliver vehicles to customers.
· Learn proper techniques for windshield crack and chip repair.
· Learn proper techniques for windshield and other automotive glass replacements.
· Learn proper techniques for vehicle recalibrations.
· Other related tasks as required.
This position also requires a flexible schedule. The shop is open Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM but pick up and deliveries, as well as additional work might occur outside of these hours or on weekends.
Applicants must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable moving customer's vehicles in and out of the shop. A background check and a motor vehicle record check will be performed.
This position is an entry level position intended to familiarize you with the automotive glass industry. This position offers the opportunity to grow into the position of Windshield Technician as well as other opportunities within this franchise or other franchise locations all across the US as positions become available.
Starting pay is $16.00/hour and can exceed $24.00/hour once you are fully trained and certified as a Windshield Technician with pay increases, commissions, and bonuses.
No prior automotive or glass experience required. Just a passion to learn and a focus on the customers and attention to detail.
