Position Summary:
Pro-Tek Security Solutions LLC is seeking a highly qualified and professional Resource Safety Officer (Armed) to support a high-profile educational client. This role requires a reliable, physically fit, articulate, and mission-driven officer who is committed to promoting a safe and welcoming environment for students, educators, and visitors.
This position involves direct engagement with children and school staff, making professionalism, discretion, and positive interpersonal communication essential. The Officer must be capable of responding calmly and effectively to emergencies, de-escalating tense situations, and supporting the site’s daily safety operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine building tours, monitor activity, and maintain a visible, professional presence throughout the facility.
- Engage respectfully and professionally with children, educators, parents, and visitors.
- Mediate interpersonal conflicts and de-escalate incidents using calm and effective communication strategies.
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, or safety concerns in a prompt, composed, and effective manner.
- Prepare and submit detailed, accurate incident reports as required.
- Maintain strong situational awareness and make sound judgments in real time.
- Provide support during drills, dismissals, or special events as directed by site leadership.
- Maintain certifications and follow all established client and company procedures.
- Represent both Pro-Tek Security Solutions LLC and the client with the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Wisconsin State-Issued Firearm License (must be valid and active)
- Active Wisconsin Security License
- Current CPR and AED Certification
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Demonstrated professional appearance, demeanor, and articulation
- Ability to write clear, professional, and thorough incident reports
- Must be punctual, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of walking, standing, and responding to emergencies for extended periods
- Must be vigilant, alert, honest, and demonstrate sound discretion and judgment
- Favorable work history, including past employment references
Preferred Qualifications:
- College coursework in Criminal Justice, Human Services, or related field
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred and will be prioritized
- Experience working in schools, youth programs, or educational settings
- Prior experience in armed security, law enforcement, or community safety roles
- Training in de-escalation, conflict resolution, or trauma-informed care
