Work of Art’s College Greens Studio is looking for a talented, enthusiastic Drawing and Painting Instructor to join our team and inspire creativity every day.
At Southside Unlimited’s Work of Art program, we believe art is for everyone. Our vibrant studio is a place where people of all abilities and interests come together to explore, create, and share their artistic voice. As part of Southside Unlimited—a non-profit dedicated to fostering personal growth, self-expression, and community inclusion for adults with developmental disabilities—you’ll be making a real impact through creativity.
What You’ll Do:
Work one-on-one and in small groups to guide artists through their creative projects.
Lead engaging workshops and classes that spark imagination and refine artistic technique.
Support open studio where creativity can flow freely.
Collaborate with a passionate team to design fun, person-centered teaching strategies.
Bring people together through art.

Salary: $19/hour (37 hours/week) with incentives & increases every other year
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Must be flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.

Skills Required:
- BA in Art or strong background in various art mediums including painting/drawing, digital art & mixed media.
- Experience in Human Services and/or Teaching strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of computers and familiarity with Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Adobe Suite, and Procreate.
- Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.
- Research and develop new teaching techniques.
- Able to break things down so that people can learn at their own pace.
- Professionally recognized practicing artist.
Required to Work:
- BA in Art or related field.
- Highly skilled artists preferred (may substitute skill level for education).
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certified.
- Driver’s License, proof of car insurance and vehicle registration.
- Clear a background check.
