Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Deli Manager to help oversee our deli operations and ensure a high standard of food quality and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service management and a commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. As the Deli Manager, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing daily operations, and creating a welcoming environment for our customers.
Duties
- Supervise and train deli staff to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to food safety protocols.
- Oversee daily operations of the deli, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain stock while minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and company policies regarding food handling and safety.
- Develop schedules for staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote deli offerings and enhance overall customer experience.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service management or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, production, and safety practices.
- Proven ability to supervise and lead a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in restaurant management or kitchen operations is an asset.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation and hospitality principles is a plus.
