Responsibilities:
Inspect peeled potatoes and trim defects to ensure high-quality raw potato input for frying.
Operate the potato chip fryer as needed, including start-up and shut-down procedures.
Perform daily and weekly sanitation procedures for peeler, slicer, or frying areas.
Change and adjust blades on peeler and slicer equipment.
Prepare peeler, slicer, or fryer systems for production start-up.
Operate peeler and slicer systems to maintain a consistent supply of properly prepared potatoes for fryer operations.
Identify and report quality or mechanical issues to the supervisor.
Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams and support diverse workgroups.
Follow all safety protocols and communicate any safety concerns to the supervisor.
Maintain quality and food safety standards specific to the role.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Ability to work the required shift of Friday-Sunday 6:00AM-6:00PM

Ability to read and understand English instructions and communicate effectively with operators and maintenance personnel
- Experience operating production equipment
- Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks and use tools like Allen wrenches and screwdrivers
- Knowledge of safe operating practices, including lock-out/tag-out programs
- Strong multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around hot equipment

- Some knowledge of machinery is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Constant attention to flow of potatoes to avoid slowing production. Able to work in a warm to hot work environment.
