Assistant Manager (Independent Contractor – 1099)

OC AfterCare is a luxury post-operative nursing care service specializing in recovery for plastic and orthopedic surgery patients. We serve high-end clientele across Orange County and Los Angeles, offering care in homes, hotels, and private recovery suites.
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized, and personable Assistant Manager to support our day-to-day operations, patient coordination, and nursing staff. If you thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment and love keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
Operations & Scheduling
- Coordinate nurse shifts and manage scheduling updates in real time
- Ensure patients and nurses are matched efficiently with coverage confirmed daily
- Handle urgent changes with professionalism and a calm focused approach
Client Communication & Coordination
- Call and text patients with pre-care instructions and confirmations
- Collect addresses, post-op directives, and coordinate transportation
- Serve as a kind and professional point of contact throughout the recovery process
Admin & Business Support
- Track hours for invoicing and shift documentation
- Help update Google Ads or website tasks as needed
- Support founder with organizational tasks and occasional errands (optional)
✅ Quality Control
- Follow up with patients post-care
- Communicate any feedback or concerns to ensure top-tier care and compliance
Requirements:
- Must be highly organized, efficient, and adaptable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong multitasker – you’ll be texting a patient, rescheduling a nurse, and updating a calendar all at once
- Tech-savvy: Google Workspace, iPhone texting, Square, Canva, etc.
- Friendly and confident personality – this is a client-facing role
- Must maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
- Healthcare or post-op care experience is a plus, but not required
