Job Title: Assistant Project Manager – Construction
Location: Fort Lauderdale/Sunrise, FL
Salary: $85,000 – $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site (Some Travel Required)
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Project Manager to support our construction management team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in construction and a solid understanding of project coordination, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
Experience working for a general contractor is a strong plus.
Some travel may be required (approximately 10–20%).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in all phases of construction projects
- Help coordinate schedules, subcontractors, materials, and site logistics
- Maintain project documentation, reports, and updates
- Attend job site meetings and support field operations
- Track RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors
- Support quality control and safety compliance on job sites
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in construction project support or management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working on commercial or large-scale residential projects
- General contractor experience preferred
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel up to 10–20% as needed
