Responsibilities:
- Perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Conduct routine dental examinations and provide preventive care
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases and conditions
- Create treatment plans for patients based on their oral health needs
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or CAD for patient management and treatment planning
- Familiarity with medical records management, including HIPAA compliance
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique during dental procedures
- Experience with electronic health record systems like Epic for documentation purposes
- Knowledge of medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims
