Auto Body Technician
Monday - Friday 7am - 330pm
Aventure is looking for a Auto Body Technician, who would be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle bodies, primarily focusing on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. This includes tasks like assessing damage, removing and replacing parts, welding, and refinishing. They also play a role in ensuring vehicles meet safety standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Damage Assessment and Repair Planning: Reviewing damage reports, estimating repair costs, and developing repair plans.
- Body Repair and Replacement: Removing and replacing damaged panels, fenders, bumpers, and other body parts.
- Structural Repair: Utilizing frame machines and other tools to straighten and realign vehicle frames.
- Welding: Performing welding tasks for metal repairs and fabrication.
- Surface Preparation: Sanding, grinding, and priming repaired surfaces for painting.
- Painting and Refinishing: Applying new finishes, matching colors, and blending paint to achieve a seamless look.
- Quality Control: Inspecting repaired vehicles to ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Customer Service: Addressing customer concerns and providing information about repairs.
- Collaboration: Working with other technicians and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintenance and Safety: Maintaining tools and equipment, adhering to safety regulations, and keeping the work area clean.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in auto body repair, preferably with heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding, metal repair, and refinishing techniques.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of vehicle systems and components.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with customers and team members.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and reaching.
In addition to these core duties, Crysteel Auto Body Technicians may also be involved in:
- Working with specialized equipment like frame machines and diagnostic tools.
- Keeping abreast of industry standards and best practices.
- Assisting with other shop tasks as needed.
