Yakima County Superior Court is looking for an Extra Help Bailiff to help ensure jury trials run smoothly and respectfully. You’ll be the calm in the courtroom, the voice jurors listen to, and the go-to person during trials.

What You’ll Do:

Greet and orient jurors at the start of service (yes, you’ll be on the mic!)
Escort the jury to and from the courtroom with professionalism and care.
Keep jurors informed and comfortable during their service.
Maintain order and respect in the courtroom during trials.
Serve as a trusted liaison between judges, jurors, and court staff.

You’ll Need:

A high school diploma or GED
2+ years’ experience working with the public or guiding large groups
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Willingness to complete required training by the Administrative Office of Courts Even Better If You:
Have courtroom, law enforcement, or legal field experience
Are comfortable speaking in front of groups
Are bilingual in English/Spanish
Have training in communication, negotiation, or conflict resolution
