Job Description
This position has complete responsibility for bakery operations. This includes; baking, frying, decorating, and customer service. Each area has its own shift lead/assistant manager to assist in enforcing policy and maintaining consistency in day-to-day production and customer interaction. The Bakery Manager has overall responsibility for quality, consistency, efficiency, cleanliness, policy enforcement, among other duties outlined in the job description. The right person for this position will have a strong sense of culture, ownership, accountability, and people skills. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved with your team in daily training and responsibilities.

Bakery Manager Responsibilities
FOH: Customer Service
Include, but are not limited to:
- Opening tills/store in the morning
- Making sure store is prepped and ready for opening
- Keep employees on task/Hold employees accountable for their work
- Willingness to help where needed to get things done in a timely manner
- Ability to recognize when it is slow to accommodate work flow
- Serving customers and ensuring each customer receives Lehi Bakery's high standard of customer service
- Solving customer and employee concerns
- Close store at least once a week
- Ordering
- Scheduling
- Communicate with FOH Manager about customer and employee issues when needed
- All other responsibilities assigned by FOH Manager
BOH: Production
Include, but are not limited to:
Production
- Oversee and be involved with production in all areas of operation
- Ensure consistent production of quality products
Policy and Accountability
- Ensure Production employees are following bakery policies, starting with you as the Assistant Manager
- Establish and maintain a culture of accountability
- Take ownership of all aspects of your departments’ operations
Cleaning
- Establish and maintain a culture of cleanliness and organization
Training
- Create and maintain a culture of ongoing improvement through training
Scheduling
- Responsible for production employee scheduling
- Assistant Manager is expected to work major sales days, holidays and other days as necessary for unusual bakery operations
- Assistant Manager is expected to work 3 Saturdays a month. Saturdays’, by far, are the bakery’s biggest day. We approach it as an all hands-on deck day
HR
- Responsible for training of new employees
Qualifications
Required:
-Minimum 3 years' experience in food service industry
-Minimum 1 year of manager/supervisor experience in customer service
-Minimum 1 year of manager/supervisor experience in bakery production
-Able to demonstrate through current or past positions a high standard of ownership and accountability
-Must provide 3 work and 2 personal references when applying
Preferred:
-More experience than requested in all three areas listed under required. Most specifically related to bakery production experience and manager/supervisory experience.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 65 per week
