We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, particularly ballet, and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves developing and implementing dance curricula, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
Responsibilities
- Develop engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach various dance styles with an emphasis on technique, creativity, and performance.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized attention to students to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Plan and execute lessons that incorporate elements of choreography, movement, and expression.
- Collaborate with other instructors to organize performances and showcases.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching dance or related fields, with a strong emphasis on ballet preferred.
- Background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Experience working with children or adults in educational settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
- Additional skills in areas such as cooking, photography, sewing, theater, or special education are considered an asset.
- A passion for dance and the ability to inspire others through movement is essential.
- Recreational & Competitive Instructor:
Our studio is looking for a part-time ballet instructor for our Competitive level dance classes in our 2025-2026 season. Our program is growing and we are looking for a strong team member who is willing to learn. We would like to hire this instructor to start as a paid substitute and trainee starting September 2025.
Our technically driven studio is taught in a positive and encouraging manner. We are an ‘all hands on deck’ staff who work together to give our students a professional, knowledgeable, and fun experience. We are looking for an instructor who is ambitious to grow with our company.
Skill Sets needed:

- Strong at multitasking
- Experienced in Ballet
- Available on 1 weekdays (3:30 pm to 8:30 pm) and Saturday
- Able to work at least 8-20 hours per week with a consistent schedule
Instructors' Responsibilities Include:
- Pre-planning class
- Welcoming to all students
- Attending meetings and trainings
- Choreographing
- Cutting music
- Participating in studio events
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the studio
- Working Recital weekend in June
