Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and food preparation, with a keen interest in the café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and providing outstanding service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities.
- Open the store on scheduled days, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for service.
- Prepare and serve high-quality Italian coffee, pastries and gelato, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Take and process to-go orders efficiently while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory for pastries, coffee and gelato supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Serve breakfast tables, ensuring timely and professional service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining cash handling protocols.
- Assist in food preparation and presentation as needed, adhering to food handling guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Experience + Qulaifications
- Previous experience in full-service restaurant or café environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices and retail math is beneficial.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn gelato and pastry preparation
- A passion for coffee and Italian desserts and an eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques is a plus.
