Overview

As a BDC Executive at Velocity, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming inquiries, playing a crucial role in building relationships and converting initial interest into qualified leads. This position involves making outbound calls, nurturing cold leads to become warm opportunities, and scheduling meetings to facilitate the sales process. Ideal candidates are results-driven, experienced in outbound sales calls, and skilled at establishing connections that lead to meaningful conversations and sales opportunities. Your efforts will directly impact the company’s ability to engage potential clients, book appointments, and ultimately drive revenue growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate appointments by means of proactive outbound prospecting in efforts to find new potential customers.
  • Provide superior customer service to achieve high levels of inquirer satisfaction.
  • Respond promptly to all incoming inquiries, qualifying leads and documenting them into the CRM.
  • Listen and be attentive to customer needs and priorities to provide appropriate suggestions and guidance on our interior, chassis and vehicle offerings.
  • Provide potential customers with product information, resources and other sales collateral.
  • Build relationships with all inbound inquirers and potential customers, even those with a longer buying cycle.
  • Schedule test drives and facility tours for qualified prospects.
  • Conduct outbound calls to cold and warm leads, engaging potential clients and building rapport.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings between qualified leads and the sales team, ensuring smooth handoffs.
  • Develop and execute lead nurturing strategies to convert cold leads to warm opportunities.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Must be reliable and trustworthy.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite. CRM experience is essential.
  • Professional verbal and written communication.
  • Confident making outbound phone calls with a friendly, professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail, strong accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and stay on work-related tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work overtime if needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Education and Experience:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous automotive experience, preferably from a highly technical / parts related field.

Physical Demands (to include but not limited to)

  • Availability to respond to customer queries and calls outside of working hours.
  • Availability to be on-site to aid in late night and early morning loading and unloading of vehicles and parts.
  • Travel semi-regularly to events to continue to promote the customer experience.
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc.
  • Sit for long periods of time working at a desk, boardroom table, or at a computer.
  • Walk long distances across shop floor to communicate and gather information as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and place items up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Occasional reaching overhead and below knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
