Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavioral therapy techniques based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Your primary focus will be on providing patient care, conducting assessments, and collecting data to monitor progress. This position requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals
- Assist in patient assessments and intake processes to gather relevant information
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and special education
- Support clients in developing social skills, communication, and daily living skills
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and records management
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices
- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments effectively
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards
- A background in special education or related fields is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
