Bend Technician is responsible for setup and programming bending machines, specifying tooling, and performing equipment maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, isometric sketches, and BOMs (Bills of Materials).
- Measure, cut, and bend 316L stainless steel tubing (typically 1/4" to 1" OD) to tight tolerances.
- Operate and program CNC tube bending equipment
- Perform manual bending
- Ensure components meet exacting dimensional, surface finish, and UHP cleanliness requirements.
- Collaborate closely with welders, fabricators, and QA personnel to meet build schedules and specifications.
- Adhere to cleanroom practices, safety protocols, and 5S standards.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working order and perform routine maintenance.
- Document work performed and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in CNC and/or manual tube bending.
- Familiarity with UHP industry standards and semiconductor fabrication requirements.
- Ability to work with 316L stainless steel tubing in orbital welding, welding prep, or assembly environments.
- Competent in the use of measurement tools (calipers, radius gauges, protractors).
- Basic understanding of GD&T, tube bend data, and bend allowance calculations.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of CAD.
- Prior experience at a UHP manufacturing company
- Knowledge of orbital welding prep and cleanroom component handling

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
