Workshop Assistant Director/ Choreographer for BEST

Position: Burlington Educational Summer Theater

Description:

• Assist the Director in choosing music, dances and scenes that are appropriate for the students
• Choreograph the songs for the show and teach the movement to the students
• Oversee the dancing and movement aspects
• Collaborate with the Director, counselors and other staff members
• Ensure that there is adequate supervision of the students
• Promote an environment based on working as an ensemble, taking creative risks, and having fun.
• Help produce a 30 minute workshop performance
• For students in grades 1-5
• Production period: July 7 - July 18, Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 1:30
• Performances on Friday July 11 and 18, 1:00
• Planning meetings before and after

Requirements: Ability to demonstrate dance movement

Must have stamina to teach a large group of kids for 5 hours per day

Locations: Burlington High School, Burlington MA

Compensation: $2000.00
