Our growing team is seeking a bilingual Legal Assistant fluent in both Spanish and English to support our attorneys and serve our diverse client base.
Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Bilingual Legal Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing administrative and legal support to attorneys while ensuring seamless communication with our Spanish-speaking clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents and interpret conversations (Spanish ↔ English)
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal correspondence and documents
- Maintain and organize case files and legal documents
- Communicate with clients, courts, and other law offices in both languages
- Schedule meetings, hearings, and deadlines
- Prepare case summaries and assist with case preparation
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
Qualifications:
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- Prior experience in a legal or administrative setting preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, etc.)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field
- Experience in Immigration, Lemon law, Personal Injury and Employment Law.
