We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Billing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Medical Billing, with a preference for those familiar with the Healthcare Durable Medical Equipment (DME) field. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about ensuring accurate billing for both patients and insurance companies.
As part of the Billing Department, you will be responsible for a range of billing and accounts receivable activities. You will work closely with patients and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy and timely processing of claims. The ability to follow detailed instructions, communicate professionally, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process medical bills and insurance claims using provided software.
- Verify client eligibility and benefits status for insurance claims.
- Enter and review claim information in our billing system.
- Ensure all claims are accurately billed and submitted to insurance companies.
- Identify and correct billing or coding errors and work with insurers to resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to manage and track billing information.
- Review and interpret insurance policies to ensure accurate billing.
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Provide support to our retail pharmacy and DME operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Medical Billing (required).
- Experience in Healthcare/DME billing (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, especially in dealing with patients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
