Job Description: Bindery
Job Summary
This position is responsible for all functions of the bindery department. This position is responsible for the effective management of time, resources, and equipment for all jobs in the bindery department.
This position will report to the Branch Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Acknowledge and appropriately greet and assist every customer in a timely manner.
Communicate professionally and efficiently, with good customer service skills by phone, email and at the front.
Attend to customer, vendor, and supervisor questions, and concerns immediately, and facilitate satisfactory resolution.
Be an effective team member; supporting the team by pitching in at any level and effectively working across the organization to meet the needs of the business.
Participate in process improvement efforts to foster a positive impact on the organization.
Remain up to date on changing trends in the bindery industry and graphic design industry.
Communicate any issues to Branch Manager as soon as possible.
Actively communicate with customers to understand and deliver design material to their satisfaction and provide creative direction/consultation.
Understand and appropriately use the company pricing system and policies.
Bindery
Binding, perforating, scoring, folding, stapling, padding, cutting, drilling, face trimming, and any other post press needs
Cut jobs to prep for print: pre production bindery
Quality Control
Bindery inventory
Receive in paper order: verify correct items/quantities, store and organize stock
Receive in job outs: verify the product matches job ticket, verify quality, rebox
Package jobs for delivery
Stage jobs for deliveries
Invoice jobs
Process Customer Payments
Print Invoices
Print and attached box labels
Deliveries
Shipping
Equipment maintenance
Stamps and Engravings
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma and equivalent work experience required
Bindery experience preferred
Knowledge of prepress and digital reproduction preferred
Excellent customer service skills, strong written and oral communication skills and listening skills, outstanding organizational skills, consistent attention to detail, excellent time management skills and sensitivity to deadlines, ability to manage multiple projects at one time, ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction, ability to work with minimal supervision required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
