Position Summary: Bookkeeper / Benefits HR Coordinator
We’re looking for a detail-oriented, quick-learning Bookkeeper / Benefits HR Coordinatorto join our friendly and people-centered accounting department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers and people—someone who brings accuracy, curiosity, and care to everything they do. You’ll be working alongside two kind, collaborative team members who value integrity, clear communication, and a good sense of humor.
This position bridges Accounting and Benefits HR functions, supporting employee well-being through benefits administration while also contributing to the financial accuracy and compliance of our business operations.

Primary Responsibilities – Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
- Prepare, reconcile, and report on accounts payable and receivable
- Verify and enter financial data with a high level of accuracy
- Reconcile company accounts and assist in month-end reporting
- Stay current on Texas Sales Tax requirements and assist with filings
- Support payroll processing as needed
Primary Responsibilities – Benefits HR Coordinator
- Serve as the point of contact for employee benefits questions and enrollment
- Explain benefits clearly and kindly to new hires and current employees
- Accurately process benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Track and reconcile monthly payroll deductions
- Liaise with benefits providers to resolve employee issues
- Ensure compliance with applicable Texas and federal labor laws, including Workers' Compensation
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks (required)
- Familiarity with Texas labor laws and Workers' Compensation (strongly preferred)
- Knowledge of Texas Sales Tax and payroll practices
- High attention to detail and comfort with numbers
- Friendly, approachable, and comfortable working with others in a small team
