Branch Manager - Operations Manager - Heavy Equipment
Reports To: Regional Operations Manager
Summary: The Branch/Operations Manager coordinates and manages the efforts of the sales, service, and parts personnel to guarantee the provision of quality customer service while ensuring safe and efficient operations within their region.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily operation of the business including workflow through the various departments.
- Responsible for a seamless rental operation working to monitor and improve the rental flow process.
- Optimize individual and team performance through collecting, monitoring, and publishing achieved KPIs against agreed upon targets.
- Monitor overhead expenses and responsible for controlling costs.
- Make certain that each new branch employee is adequately trained in his or her area of responsibility.
- Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, personal compliance, accountability, and communication.
- Participate in the monthly branch meetings.
- Review key performance indicator reports to improve on deficiencies.
- Build relationships across the organization to promote the goals of the business and a team first mentality
- Uses good judgment in difficult situations by perceiving consequences and long-range implications of current decisions.
- Assume responsibility for the care and custody of company assets which include vehicles, tools, and the facility.
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 4-year degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the heavy equipment industry.
- Required travel of up to 80% including overnight stays.
- Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines consistently and have a high sense of urgency.
- Problem solving ability and maintain a proactive approach to corporate initiatives.
