Role Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for managing inbound sales efforts for a region of Kiln locations, focusing on filling vacancies and achieving stabilized Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) targets. This is a high-volume, high-output sales role that requires a results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about sales activity and achievement.
Goals and Objectives
- Personifies Kiln’s core values and strives to achieve our mission
- Maximizes inbound lead conversion to tours booked and then tours given
- Organizes and nurtures CRM contact lists to drive more tours
- Prospects into new markets to build targeted new member and partner contact lists
- Partners with Marketing to convert leads from other lead generation campaigns
Major Responsibilities:
Inbound Lead Management
- Respond promptly to inbound leads, engaging via phone, text, and email.
- Confirm tour attendance or reschedule as necessary to minimize ‘no-shows.’
- Manage live chats on Kiln’s landing pages to quickly address questions and book tours.
Contact Nurturing
- Organize and manage contacts/leads within the CRM to qualify and maximize conversion to tours.
- Execute reactivation campaigns to re-engage cold or lost leads.
- Track and analyze contact/leads performance within the CRM.
New Market Prospecting and List Building
- Build and engage targeted new member prospect lists for new markets.
- Build targeted potential partner lists for new markets for Business Development Manager and Community Team engagement.
- Maintain a consistent cadence of outbound activity to generate a steady pipeline.
Marketing Campaign Support
- Manage leads generated from Marketing’s campaign strategy.
- Conduct research on local companies, real estate movements, and industry news to inform campaigns with Marketing.
Ideal Experience and Skills:
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer facing roles
- Passionate professional who loves a challenge and thrives of driving outcomes
- Strong understanding of sales mechanics and revenue drivers
- A team player who can balance individual performance with collaboration
- Must have strong networking skills and able to think creatively and self-start
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
- Passion for entrepreneurial communities
- College graduate with a four-year degree preferred, but not required
- Passion and understanding for Kiln’s mission and values
- Proficient in use of Hubspot, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Slack, Asana, and ready and able to learn to manage additional SaaS platforms.
