HIRING 1099 CONTRACTORS for Charter Spectrum (THIS IS NOT A HOURLY OR W-2 POSITION. THIS IS PIECE RATE WORK.)
Position: Fiber & Coax Cable Technician
We are seeking 1099 Cable/Fiber Television Installation Technicians to complete internet, phone, and cable installs and troubleshooting in Dallas, TX and surrounding areas.
Requirements:
- Must have a work vehicle (truck, van, or SUV) equipped to carry 28ft and 6ft fiberglass ladders
- Must have all valid US work credentials
- Must pass drug and background checks
- Must have work tools
- Must have 28ft and 6ft fiberglass ladders
- Must have electrical or cable experience
Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems in residential and commercial settings
- Perform cable terminations, splicing, and testing
- Install and configure network equipment
- Ensure proper cable management and labeling
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cable installer or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of cabling systems, including low voltage, Ethernet, telephone, and fiber splicing
- Familiarity with hand tools and cable installation equipment
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work in all types of weather, in attics, and on ladders up to 28ft with a 300 lbs capacity
Pay:
- Competitive piece rate pay based on experience and workload
