Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Cardiovascular Sonographer to join our multidisciplinary team at a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will hold credentials such as RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer), RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer), ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer), or RCCS (Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer). This role requires proficiency in cardiac imaging, knowledge of radiologic practices, and experience in high-acuity environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality cardiovascular and diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms.
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and utilize aseptic techniques at all times.
- Accurately assess, monitor, and record patient vital signs during procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians in cardiology, emergency medicine, and critical care teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Interpret preliminary ultrasound findings and contribute to diagnostic discussions.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and hospital standards.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring cleanliness, calibration, and readiness.
Requirements
- Current certification in RDCS, RCS, ACS, or RCCS (must hold at least one).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cardiac pathophysiology.
- Experience performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound and working in fast-paced, acute-care environments.
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization lab procedures and protocols.
- Excellent understanding of radiologic and sonographic practices, especially as applied to cardiovascular imaging.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts, as required in trauma settings.

Pay: $63.00 - $66.00 per hour
