The MENA Grocery team (UFG) is offering a role to own building new business from ground Zero. We are seeking a self-starter who can quickly familiarize themselves with this fast-paced environment, build relationships/trust with cross-functional teams, and assume ownership within the program which will require understanding of complex business/Tech/Ops processes at Amazon and our partners and devising an optimal engagement model. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, analytical talent and good document writing skills with concise communication are essential to success in this role.
Amazon Fresh team is looking for a customer-obsessed Category Marketing Manager to define the strategy and create marketing initiatives that generate discoverability and engage consumers in UFG categories.
Key job responsibilities
1. Customer understanding & Insights: Category Marketing Managers are key business partners who use internal and external data of categories to propose marketing initiatives that will drive customer base growth. They are responsible for analyzing traffic sources, understanding customer journey, connect with central teams and programs to bring insights to the Category/Commercial and Central Marketing teams to drive acquisition and engagement within categories.
2. Demand generation: Marketing Managers own the category strategy and execution for: Events, Homepage, Outbound and Onsite campaigns. These channels are important drivers to create awareness of relevant selection and increase customer acquisition and engagement. Besides owning strategy and execution, Marketing Manager will report results and apply learnings to keep evolving and improving customer experience and engagement.
3. Customer experience: Continuously improve the customer experience simplifying the shopping journey to make Amazon the preferred online destination to buy our categories. We lead initiatives to address issues and gaps that impact CX (e.g. browse node refreshes, refinements), guarantee discoverability of categories (e.g. unhide nodes, add navigation slots) and improve navigation in partnership with local and global teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
- Advanced English proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs
- Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation
