Job Summary
We are looking for a talented and reliable Chef de Partie to join our catering team. This position involves assisting with food prep in our commissary kitchen as needed, and primarily running live food stations at catering events. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary fundamentals, excellent knife skills, and the ability to execute sauces, soups, and pasta dishes with consistency and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food prep and mise en place in the commissary.
- Take responsibility for assigned stations during catering events (pasta, pizza, salads, fries, etc.).
- Execute dishes to a high standard of taste, presentation, and speed.
- Prepare sauces, soups, and pasta dishes; support baking/pastry as needed.
- Set up, manage, and break down food stations efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional kitchen experience (catering experience a plus).
- Strong knife skills and solid knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Experience preparing sauces, soups, and pastas.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to different stations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in fast-paced environments.
- Flexible schedule — availability for evenings, weekends, and event-based hours.
