Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assisant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children of various ages, including infants and toddlers. The Childcare Assistant will engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development while ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Plan and implement educational activities that foster learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting..
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment.
- Collaborate and communicate with other childcare staff
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is an asset.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support children's emotional needs.
- Experience working with children of various ages, particularly infants and toddlers.
- Understanding of childhood development milestones and how to encourage growth through play and structured activities.
- Applicants with a background in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, or a CDA credential are preferred
