Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with facilities maintenance duties, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Serve as a porter by managing waste disposal and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests and special projects as directed by management.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages or equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles preferred, with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while completing multiple tasks.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintaining a clean environment.
