Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Manager (RN) to lead and support the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department in Las Cruces, NM. This leadership role is essential in driving quality care delivery, fostering staff development, and achieving patient satisfaction and clinical excellence. The Clinical Manager will report to the Emergency Department Program Director and play a critical part in advancing the hospital’s mission of improving community health.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations and nursing functions within the Emergency Department
- Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance care coordination and patient outcomes
- Manage staffing levels, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure optimal care delivery
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Support planning, budgeting, and performance improvement initiatives
- Deliver direct patient care when needed across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing – required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of recent clinical experience in emergency care or related specialty
- Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or nurse leadership role
Licensure/Certification:
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact state – required
- CPR certification – required
- ACLS/PALS – preferred
