General Job Brief
The Club Coach, Women’s Basketball (Part-Time), reports directly to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and is responsible for the development, mentorship, and overall support of student-athletes participating in the women’s club basketball program.
This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Primary responsibilities
Maintain a culture of faith, influence, relationships, excellence
Conduct training sessions for player development and team performance
Game day preparation and schedule coordination
Game day coaching and guidance
Develop positive culture through intentional effort and strategy
Academic accountability
Intentional Christian faith integration
Provides spiritual guidance, prayer, and support for the team
Performs other duties as assigned

- Commitment to the University’s faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith.
- Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff.
- The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- High level coaching experience
- Demonstrated connection to the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University
Working Conditions
- General women’s basketball environment
- Office hours to accomplish administrative tasks
- Meeting with student-athletes as needed
- Travel to competition and recruitment as needed
